Our Story

HILO began with a simple idea: bring fresh food, local growers, and helpful community resources directly into the neighborhood. What started as a grassroots effort by three women has grown into a weekly gathering place where families shop, neighbors connect, and small farmers thrive.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Yes! There is parking along S. Beech Street and across Union in the large Highland Park Commons parking lot.

  • Coming soon! Once we get approved to be an EBT vendor, we will be working with Gaining Ground to offer Double Up Food Bucks.

  • Every month or so, you can count on familiar faces such as Clinica Medicos, La Paz, the YMCA, and other specialty services to be here.
